Cathy Cooper
Chief of Operations & Staff

Cathy has been with CFK for ten years. She is the “keeper of the culture,” maintaining the organization’s focus on mission: Helping millions of children have the health, education, and nutritional resources they need to succeed in school.

In addition to overseeing the human resource needs and day to day operations, Cathy leads the strategic planning for CFK, including leading the organization’s efforts to cultivate and build a national network of partners and advocates leveraging their resources and influence.

Prior to joining CFK, Cooper served a twenty-year tenure, working in various management and leadership positions with Tyson Foods, the world’s largest poultry company. Cathy’s strength has developed through her corporate experience in business processes, management, and training, as well as years of experience serving in numerous capacities on nonprofit boards and executive committees that include the Yvonne Richardson Community Center Board of Directors, Susan G. Komen Ozark Race for the Cure, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, The Boys and Girls Club, and The Heart Walk.

Her background includes experience in sports management, serving as general manager of the Arkansas Stars Indoor Football League team during the 2006 season. She handled promotions and game-day operations, travel arrangements, and team appearances. She served on the Tyson Softball Tournament Board from 1998 to 2008 and on the City of Fayetteville Softball Board of Directors for eight years.

A Fayetteville native, Cathy enjoys spending time with her family and being a grandmother to her energetic grandson, Chayceon. She believes that time spent with family is worth every second. Cathy loves working in her church and teaching bible school classes for early elementary. She loves traveling and visiting family and friends.
