Executive Creative Director
Donna Williams is Executive Creative Director for Champions for Kids. In this capacity, Donna supports the organization’s marketing strategy, provides market research and drives creative strategy and copy for all of Champions for Kids’ creative and brand initiatives.
Donna is a veteran advertising and marketing executive, creative director, copywriter, and broadcast producer. She began her career as an advertising agency copywriter and radio/television producer in the Tulsa area, soon advancing to the role of creative director. In 1999, Williams became one of the founding partners of Saatchi & Saatchi X—a Northwest Arkansas-based advertising/retail marketing firm—heading up the company's creative department and building a tremendous base of talented art directors, copywriters, and graphic designers.
As executive vice president/executive creative director, Williams helped take the company from a start-up with 18 employees to one of the region's largest ad agencies with over 160 employees and some of the world's biggest brands, including Procter & Gamble, Walmart, and Coca-Cola. She left in 2004 to start her own freelance agency, Pink Fuzzy Slippers, Inc., where she remained until 2013 when she joined Arkansas advertising agency powerhouse CJRW as their Vice President, Creative Director. Williams left CJRW in 2014 to work as a freelance creative and strategic marketing consultant.
In addition to being an accomplished marketing executive, Williams is also a highly awarded creative in her own right, having won well over 250 industry awards, including local, regional, and national Addy Awards, numerous shopper marketing awards. Additionally, her work has appeared in Print's Regional Design Annual, and the New York Art Directors' Club Annual.
Donna Williams has been married to her college sweetheart for 30 years and lives in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
