Programs Project Manager
Since joining the Champions for Kids team in February 2014, Kristen has coordinated, improved, and developed new national and local projects and programs. Adapting to the needs of our communities, service organizations, and brand partners, she serves as a liaison and primary contact to national and local organizations. Her skills for copywriting and editing quickly established itself as a dynamic part of CFK’s correspondence to our stakeholders.
As the eldest sister of a very close family, she developed a strong sense of empathy. She is passionate about helping children and is devoted to the Champions for Kids mission.
Kristen received her bachelor’s degree in Communications from Arkansas Tech University. During her time there, she was actively involved in the music and theatre departments. While working on her first musical as the assistant director and stage manager, she realized her aptitude for organization and managing her peers and teachers. Her ability to remain calm in high-stress situations made her an invaluable member of any project. She has continued to use what she learned there in every venture she has pursued while cultivating a deep affection for art in all forms.
In her free time, she enjoys exploring old bookstores, finding new local restaurants, and watching classic films. She is known to appreciate a nice cup of tea, especially accompanied with artisanal cheese. She devotes much of her time to her friends and family. She is an incredibly proud auntie and takes great delight in pampering her niece every chance she gets.
