At the 2011 Henkel Global Leadership Conference, over 500 educators, corporate teams, social entrepreneurs and student leaders gathered to make a difference for children across America and beyond.
At the end of this gathering, the participants exited the conference hall and found tables filled with Disney toys and games. Each person filled several stockings with the toys and games, which were then donated to local low-income youth. Over 650 stockings were stuffed, benefitting more than 700 youth in Northwest Arkansas!
Now it’s your turn to take action! Here’s how:
GATHER: Instead of a typical holiday party, host a Disney Stocking Stuffer Celebration. Gather friends and family; ask them to bring appropriate items to place in Holiday stockings for children in need.
LEARN: Invite a teacher, social worker, or community advocate to speak to your group about children they serve.
GIVE: Give the stockings to the community advocate or local charity for children. Send us your Report and Photos at http://www.championsforkids.org/simple so that we can celebrate your participation! How many people were Champions For Kids? How many children received the stockings and toys? Report back and receive your certificate of victory!
