It’s not always about the coupon and Karen knows it. Shopping wisely and knowing when to pass on a coupon deal for a better over all deal helped her to make the best choices for her charity.

Brandy took her three girls shopping for Disney princess and Tinkerbell themed items.  They took their stocking to the local fire department so the firefighters could pass on the stocking.  After all, firefighters see firsthand how many children’s holidays are affected each year by fire.  Now, thanks to Brandy and her daughters, the firefighters can give this gift to a deserving little girl.  See the firefighters receiving the stocking here.

A Stocking for a Special Young Boy

A Stocking for a Special Young Boy

While April’s intention was to bring cheer to another family, she says that the real gift was watching a child’s joy. She and her sons shopped for items for a two year old boy in their neighborhood.  The Lion King was the theme of the day.  April said that after seeing the joy on the little boy’s face she would do this SIMPLE service project one hundred times over.  In addition, her sons learned about the joy of giving to others.  To read more, please click here.

Baker Gives Back

Baker Gives Back

At R.E. Baker Elementary in Bentonville, we did a Christmas SIMPLE Service project inspired by your Henkel Global Leadership Conference in October.  Thanks to the wonderful parents of “Baker Gives Back” we were able to buy the fleece to make Fleece Knot Blankets for a sister school in Springdale where there are lots of kids with needs.  The Baker students tied the knots and the administrators from our adopted school came to pick them up.  The kids were so excited that they could help by making something themselves.  We will be extending our blanket project into January and hope to provide some of the children at the Children’s Shelter with blankets of their own.

Thanks for all the work that you do in promoting these ideas and projects!

Sincerely,
Gilda

Kindergartners stuff stockings with #DisneyCFK and Champions For Kids

This week at our 3rd grade musical, families stuffed stockings to share with Parson Hills Kindergarten. This #DisneyCFK Stocking Stuffer Celebration has touched many lives. And our Henkel volunteers come every week to volunteer and bring presents (a ton!! and a gift cards to Wal-Mart).  When our principals took the car load of gifts the mother cried and expressed how blessed they were. These people are truly amazing!!! People care and will do amazing things for kids whenever they are aware of their needs.
