“My Donation for Champions for Kids”

Emily at Baby Dickey killed two birds with one stone when grocery shopping, she was also able to gather the items she needed for her safety kit, at Walmart. With the idea of “Winter Survival” in mind, Emily decided to donate her kit to the local homeless shelter. The Energizer children’s flashlights are useful and fun. Emily was able to learn so much about the need for these safety items in her community.

Linette at the Kids Fun Review created a safety kit that she had originally planned on donating to a church but changed her mind because of time constraints and ended up donating to a special needs class at a local school. “Many times special needs children take extra resources that their parents or guardians may not have, so it felt good to use this opportunity to help them out a little” says Linette. Walmart had everything she was looking for to include in the safety kits.

Jessica and her son together came up with a very long list of items. Jessica and her son donated their safety kit to the Coalition For The Homeless Of Central Florida. This organization is so deserving since they make such a difference to the homeless population.

Care Kits for Kids During Hurricane Season

Stephanie at a Grande Life discusses that because of hurricane season she is very aware of the dangers of power outages. She notes 70% of power outages in the U.S. are weather related. Stephanie and her boys will be creating a care kit for kids and going to donate the Care Kit to the local shelter. Stephanie is so excited to be a part of the Champions for Kids movement will a goal of mobilizing 20 million by 2020!

Denise at Shopper Strategy chose to create a winter emergency survival kit to deliver to their local Ronald McDonald house for this project.  Denise’s family has a history of childhood medical issues that originally introduced them to the Ronald McDonald house years ago when her quadruplets were born. They went to Walmart to purchase items for an emergency survival kit.

Crystal at A Pumpkin and a Princess decided to donate her emergency kit to Valley Crisis Center after researching several organizations in her area. “We chose this non profit organization because they work with all of the homeless children from the main shelter as well as battered women” says Crystal. She says her goal is to start collecting art and safety supplies to donate several times a year.
