Start Your Day with a Spin Into Action for Children’s Oral Care

August 6th, 2012

Janet of Going Crazy?? Wanna Go??!! took spin on a regular donation drive. Instead of just asking fellow employees for donations, she fed them breakfast! She knew if their tummies were satisfied they would be happier to give.

“I’ve always heard “if you feed them, they will come” so when I wanted to encourage my coworkers to donate to the Rainbow Room for #SpinbrushCFK, I invited them to a special breakfast event.”

Spin Into Action Dental Care Donation

August 6th, 2012

Tonia of The Gunny Sack made cute donations sacks full of oral care items. She donated the sacks to a local food pantry. Tonia likes that the items donated go directly to the people in the community and that the food pantry offers more than just food to those in need.

“I really like that the food shelves are about so much more than food. There are household goods, cleaning supplies, toiletries, clothes, school supplies and so much more.”

Spinning into Action

August 4th, 2012

Melissa of The Mommyhood Chronicles, being a dentist, knows how important proper oral care is. She was so excited when she found out about the Spinbrush Simple Service Project. She knew she would be able to make an awesome donation.

“I knew of one office in my immediate area where I live that readily believed in going above and beyond in helping children get back their smile again. I thought how wonderful it would be to join on their crusade in trying to educate, as well as help children, with the basic oral dental needs that they might have not had.”

“In all, we collected 5 packets of flossers, 12 packets of floss, 17 tubes of toothpaste, 10 single packs of toothbrushes, 4 double packs of toothbrushes, and one boy’s Spinbrush toothbrush. I was so happy to provide such important products for people who just need a little help right now.”

We are Delivering Pretty Smiles

August 3rd, 2012

Melanie of 2 Boys + 1 Girl = One Crazy Mom shares her donation to Volunteers in Medicine. She was able to get her friends and family involved in making donations. Taking her kids along to drop of the donations has helped teach them the importance of giving back.

“My Tween was very proud taking the box to the reception desk and dropping it off; he was super excited to finally be able to help and do something of his own, usually he’s always too little or not old enough, but helping out and volunteering doesn’t have any rules, but is very rewarding in the end!”

Our Spinbrush Simple Service Project: The Donation!

August 3rd, 2012

Summer of A Mom Less Ordinary shares the excitement of her daughter to give back to the community. Teaching children how to give back is so important. Making an oral care kit for both a boy and a girl and then donating it taught her daughter the importance of giving.

“We’re going to be looking for other simple ways we can help do good in our community. For this service project, it was as simple as buying three and donating two, so I think we’re going to keep up the good work that way!”

"I am a huge fan of Champions for Kids because it has strong, passionate leadership and it is built on a powerful concept that if we can activate large numbers of people to become Champions for Kids in their communities, they can transform the lives of millions of children. CFK and its corporate partners promise to become that booster rocket.", David Gergen, CNN Senior Political Analyst, Director, Center for Public Leadership, Harvard
