Selection Criteria

Champions for Kids solicits nominations from a prestigious group of advisors to nominate talented candidates who are at a pivotal point to take a proven idea to another level of impact. This support will be directed to leaders who:

  1. Show a passion for excellence that goes beyond intellectual curiosity.
  2. Deliver programs that fill a demonstrated need in the community and offer enduring and meaningful impact.
  3. Have the potential to generate long-term support from other sources (compelling solution to a market need) and can serve as a model for replication elsewhere.
  4. Provide innovative solutions to improve the lives of children and their families and engage the use of technology to support market
  5. Demonstrate a commitment and passion to engage education as a vehicle for achieving transformative social impact.
  6. Are recognized as leaders in their communities.

Program Benefits

Selected as a rising social change leader likely to influence change on a large scale: public policy, delivery of service, engage large numbers of people in social cause; deliver breakthrough solution to an intractable problem, influence public perception and response toward a social challenge.

Awarded admittance to a one-year program of training and leadership support in the Global Leadership Fellows Program –an inspiring and engaging network of social change leaders who are on the cutting edge of ideas and innovation.

Granted tuition and all program related expenses, including: travel to and from training forums, meals, lodging, materials and dedicated program officers.

Recognized in unique convening communities with corporate, foundation and government leaders with the opportunity to have greater visibility through the Champions for Kids social media platforms.

Opportunity to develop and present strategic plan to a group of corporate, foundation and social leaders at the end of one year program.
