Care for kids in your community!
Families in poverty face all kinds of difficulties beyond finding adequate food and shelter. Lots of them have trouble affording basic personal care items such as toothbrushes, soap, deodorant—items that not only keep them healthy but also help them to be confident among their peers. Will you help a child thrive by donating personal care items in your community?
It’s this SIMPLE!
1. GATHER your friends, family, neighbors—even your coworkers or church—to assemble care kits containing hygiene and personal care items for kids in need. You could even offer a prize to the person who brings the most items to donate!
2. LEARN about the organizations that help kids in your community. What items do they need most? Resolve to donate or give regularly!
3. GIVE the items you collect to a school nurse, teacher, social worker, or foster care agency in your community.
4. SHARE your story at championsforkids.org/share. Let us know how many people were involved and how many items you collected. Thank you for helping us reach our goal of mobilizing 20 million people by 2020 to become Champions for Kids!
