Help warm up the winter for kids in your community!
Winter is on its way, and it can be an especially hard time for kids whose families have trouble affording heat and warm clothing. Donating socks and other warmth items is a small thing you can do to make a big difference for a child in need.
It’s this SIMPLE!
1. GATHER your family, friends, and neighbors to collect socks and other warmth items for kids. They can be funky, fun, or just functional, just as long as they will help a kid stay warm.
2. LEARN about the organizations in your community that help provide kids with clothing.
3. GIVE the items you collect to a local school nurse, teacher, social worker, or community organization to help kids stay warm this winter.
4. SHARE your story at championsforkids.org/share. Let us know how many people were involved and how many items you collected. Thank you for being a Champion for Kids!
Stories from across America
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be posting photos and stories of people across America who are donating socks and warmth items for children in need and being Champions for Kids in their community! Be sure to check back throughout the month to see the inspiring stories.
