Care for kids in your community!
For many low-income children and families, food pantries provide a lifeline during the summer months when children no longer receive free school breakfasts and lunches. Because of this need, food pantries are often strained to provide more assistance to children and families who are struggling to put their next meal on the table. Will you be a champion for kids in need by donating to the agencies that serve them?
It’s this SIMPLE!
1. GATHER your family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers for a “Stock the Pantry” drive. Ask each person to bring a bag of nutritious, non-perishable food items to donate.
2. LEARN about hunger organizations in your community. What items do they need most? How can you share your time and resources?
3. GIVE the items that you collect to a food pantry or other organization that fights hunger in your community. Click here to find a food bank near you.
4. SHARE your story at championsforkids.org/share. Let us know how many people were involved and how many items you collected. Thank you for helping us reach our goal of mobilizing 20 million people by 2020 to become Champions for Kids!
If you are in Northwest Arkansas:
Join us for a local SIMPLE Service project! Bring nonperishable food items to the CFK booth at EITHER the Fayetteville Farmers Market or the Bentonville Farmers Market on Saturday, June 14, from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Help spread the word by sharing this flyer and image on your social media platforms. Thank you for helping us Stock the Pantry!
