Our Mission

Champions for Kids provides resources for children in our nation’s highest poverty schools to be prepared for success in school and in life.  We do this by providing teachers in K-8 public schools with resources, incentives, and rewards to help children and youth reach and exceed school benchmarks in reading, health and fitness and soon additional STEM programs. Our priority focus is Northwest Arkansas K-8 public schools.

💜📚 Oakdale Middle School FINISHED STRONG!Our Reading Champions continued proving that encouragement and goal-setting make a difference! Teachers across 6th, 7th, and 8th grades shared that students demonstrated:✨ Increased reading confidence✨ Greater reading engagement✨ Positive academic growth throughout the programEven beyond the classroom, educators noticed students becoming more engaged and motivated to succeed.Every goal achieved, every page turned, and every celebration reminds us that when students are encouraged, they rise to the challenge.Special shout out to LEGO! Because of your generosity, more than 150 students who successfully completed the I FINISHED STRONG! Reading Champions program were rewarded with LEGO sets to celebrate their incredible achievement. 💜📚 Jones Elementary FINISHED STRONG!What a meaningful way to celebrate the final chapter of Jones Elementary!This year, 65 fourth-grade students participated in Reading Champions, and 46 students (71%!) earned the title of “I FINISHED STRONG!” 💪The results speak for themselves:📖 Reading proficiency increased from 19% to 41% on the ATLAS Literacy assessment by the end of the school year.As Jones Elementary closes its doors, its legacy will live on through the students, educators, and families who made every day count.Congratulations, Jones Elementary! 📚🎉 Parson Hills Elementary has so much GOOD TIMES to celebrate! 💜As Reading Champions celebrated their success, the results told an incredible story.
